Very nice red VA flake. Perfect moisture and ready to go from the tin. About medium in body, maybe a shade more. I blame C&D for gradually changing my taste as nearly ever other blend has red VA in it, usually as a base. Red Virginia's are by far my favorite so any time I come across a new version of this wonderful leaf its a must I give it a try. One reviewer cellared some for a few years and remarked that it improved with age (surprise), so I think I'll follow suit. I also got dried, dark fruit tastes. This is Virginia at its finest! I don't tend to smoke fast whatsoever so I was very surprised at that outcome. Red virginias were pleasant with earthiness, tangy sweetness, woodsiness and fruit.. some decent starting age to the tobacco but not anything special.. certainly not much older than most tins you can find at b&m' that have sat for a few years.. perfect 4 star blend no, so I'm giving it a 2.9. It was pleasent and I am not a big fan of VaPers. Can be an all day smoke if you wish. Like the description states, lots of sweet, tang, citrus, grass, and some bread going on here. This is a good description of the smoke, for me. Visual Note - Red flake with light brown spots mixed throughout. Its a shame this cant be produced in greater quantity, because my natural instinct would be to smoke through the entire tin without thinking about it, but alas I must preserve this for the wonderful and occasional smoke that it is and be thankful I have it at all. This is one of the smoothest, unadulte rated tobacco tins you can ever purchase.
